 Post subject: Mobile data not working - maps say network fail

I've tried adding a VPN to the phone but the required fields on the phone don't match up with the instructions on the TPG website. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi seager,

We do not use VPN on the mobile.

Please confirm if you are referring for the settings for APN.

Hi Noemi,

If you don't use VPN why are there instructions here - https://www.tpg.com.au/support/handset_settings.php

I don't mind how it's done, I just need to set up using data on the phone. Any instructions which work would be greatly appreciated.

It is a Pay As You Go plan. The mobile is a Telstra ZTE T790.

I'd rather not throw it away so I don't contribute to the massive e-waste problem we have.

I'm really not appreciating being completely ignored.

I might end up getting a new phone but the only network which really works in the rural area where I live is Telstra.

Is it worth continuing using TPG mobile if it will be switched to the vodafone network?
