Where can I find email settings for Thunderbird?

Bought a new PC, installed Thunderbird, trying to setup my email account.

Incoming pop3.tpg.com.au, POP, 110, STARTTLS
Outgoing mail.tpg.com.au, SMTP, 465, SSL/TLS

setting above are found automatically, although it won't accept my password.

What am I doing wrong?
Where can I find instructions on the TPG site how to setup my email? I can't locate any support on this subject on their site..........Very frustrating.

Any help/advice would be appeciated.

HI

I have the same issue, but for my iphone... Sounds dumb, but i can't get the settings right - incoming - mail.tpg.com.au, outgoing - smpt.tpg.com.au doesn't work, so have tried pop3.tpg.com.au, as incoming but this doesn't work either.

Hi hamy,

You can ask assistance from Apple for setting these up but here are the general settings for setting up email with us:

email: <TPG username>@tpg.com.au
username: <TPG username>
password: <TPG password>
incoming server: mail.tpg.com.au
outgoing server: mail.tpg.com.au (or whatever the outgoing is for the internet connection you're using)

Hi Numb, Just had the same problem, just change your connection security from STARTTLS to SSL/TLS and everything should start to download. :wink:

I've Tried all those settings and I still get invalid password.
